How we work on commercial sites

Every job starts with a free, no-obligation site visit and quote. We meet with your facilities manager, business manager or site supervisor, walk the trees in question and agree the scope before any work is booked.

Our own crew does every job. We do not use subcontractors, so the people who quote the work are the people who do it, and you deal with the same business from start to finish. A Level 5 qualified arborist oversees the work.

We bring our truck, chipper and stump grinder, so most jobs are finished in one visit, and material is chipped and removed rather than left on site. When we leave, the site is clean.

We are fully insured, with $20 million public liability cover.

Standard working hours are 7am to 5pm. For schools, kindergartens and businesses, we can talk through timing at the quote stage so work is planned around how your site operates. For storm damage and urgent hazards, our emergency service runs 24/7.

 

Things to consider on commercial and public land

Permits and planning controls

Trees on commercial and institutional land are covered by the same planning rules as other land. Depending on the site, a permit may be needed for native vegetation, for trees under a planning overlay, or under local laws. For example, the City of Casey advises that a permit is generally required where land is covered by an Environmental Significance, Vegetation Protection, Significant Landscape or Heritage Overlay. Councils generally exempt removing hazardous parts of a tree that pose an immediate risk, but it is worth confirming the controls on your site before planned work goes ahead.

Nesting wildlife

All native wildlife in Victoria is protected under the Wildlife Act 1975, and it is an offence to harm it. On grounds with large, established trees, such as golf courses and school ovals, we keep an eye out for active nests and will talk with you before working on an affected tree.
