These are the questions South East Melbourne homeowners ask most before booking tree work. If yours isn't here, call Zuriko on 0481 111 804 for a free quote.

How much does tree removal cost?

Every tree is different. Price depends on the size of the tree, how close it is to your house, fences or power lines, how easy it is to get to, and how much clean-up and stump grinding you want. That's why we quote every job on site, for free and with no obligation. Your quote spells out exactly what's included before any work starts, so there are no surprises on the day.

How quickly can I get a quote?

Call Zuriko directly on 0481 111 804. We're open 7am to 5pm, seven days a week, and you speak straight to us - not a call centre. For storm damage and fallen trees we offer 24/7 emergency call-outs.

Will you damage my house, fence, pool or garden?

Protecting your property is the job. We're experienced with difficult trees right next to houses, pools, sheds and fences, and where needed we take trees down in small, controlled sections instead of dropping them in one go. Our work is led by a Level 5 qualified arborist and we carry $20 million public liability insurance.

Will you lop my tree properly, or just hack it back?

Before we start, we walk you through exactly what will be cut and why, and we agree on it together. Our Level 5 qualified arborist plans pruning to keep the tree healthy and looking good, not just shorter.

Do you clean up afterwards?

Yes. Leaving your property clean is part of every job. Branches go through our chipper on site and we clean up before we leave. If you'd like to keep the mulch for your garden, just ask.

Do I need a council permit to remove my tree?

Sometimes. Councils such as Casey and Cardinia protect some trees, depending on the species, size and location. Ask us when we quote and we'll tell you what to check. If council needs an arborist report, our Level 5 qualified arborist can prepare one.

What happens to the stump and roots?

We grind stumps below ground level so you can replant, lay turf or build over the area. If you're planning to concrete, pave or build there, tell us when we quote so we can talk through how deep we'll grind and what will be left in the ground.

Can I talk to the arborist directly?

Yes. Razor Blade is family-owned and has been running in Melbourne's South East since 2006. When you call 0481 111 804 you speak to Zuriko, the person who'll look after your job.

My neighbour's tree hangs over my property. Can you help?

Yes. We regularly trim overhanging branches and can help you work through neighbour tree issues. See our Neighbourhood Tree Disputes page, or call us to talk it through.

Will your crew turn up on time?

We confirm a day and arrival time with you before the job, and we keep you updated if anything changes on the day, like weather.

Do you offer emergency tree removal?

Yes. We offer 24/7 emergency call-outs for fallen trees, split limbs and storm damage across Melbourne's South East. Call 0481 111 804 any time.

Which areas do you service?

Narre Warren North, Narre Warren, Narre Warren South, Berwick, Hampton Park, Endeavour Hills, Doveton, Hallam, Beaconsfield and surrounding suburbs in Melbourne's South East.

Will you pressure me to book on the spot?

No. We'll give you an honest quote and leave the decision with you. Take your time, compare quotes, and call us on 0481 111 804 when you're ready to book.

Will the crew know exactly what I agreed to?

Yes. Everything we agree on - which trees, what gets cut, stump grinding, clean-up - goes into your written quote, and that's what the crew works from on the day. If anything changes on site, we talk to you first.

Will you protect my garden beds, lawn, paving and nature strip?

Yes. Tell us which plants, garden beds or paths matter most and we'll work around them. We'll also talk with you about where the truck and chipper will park, and we try to keep heavy gear off soft lawns and nature strips, especially in wet weather.

The tree is near my neighbour's property. What happens?

We can talk to your neighbour about access, overhanging branches and keeping their property safe, so the job runs smoothly for everyone. If we need to work from their side of the fence, we'll make sure that's agreed before the day.

Can I keep the firewood or logs?

Just ask when we quote. If you'd like to keep wood or mulch from your tree, we'll factor it into the job.

How do I pay?

We accept bank transfer (EFT), cash and cheque. Payment details and terms are set out on your quote and invoice.

Do you use subcontractors?

No. Our own crew does every job. The team that turns up is the Razor Blade team, working to the quote you agreed, with a Level 5 qualified arborist leading the work.

Do you do hedge trimming?

Yes. We trim, shape and cut back hedges and screening plants, including tall and overgrown hedges, and we clean up all the clippings. Call 0481 111 804 for a free quote.
